New analysis, undertaken by the Poverty Alliance on behalf of The Robertson Trust, has examined the evidence on the links between poverty, education and work pathways for young people in Scotland and across the UK. It found evidence that the poverty-attainment gap – already identified by the Scottish Government as a key priority – shows signs of increasing and risks being further compounded by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In our Voices series, we share the stories and opinions from our funded organisations who are helping to find solutions to poverty and trauma in Scotland. The latest group is Venture Trust, a personal development charity supporting people aged 16 years and over who are struggling with complex circumstances to overcome these barriers and realise their potential.

We are delighted to announce the latest recipients of funding since the launch of our new strategy in 2020.
