The Robertson Trust is delighted to host an online conversation on the Christie Commission ten years on. The event, which is free and open to all, will take place on Zoom on Tuesday 22nd June 2021 at 10.30am-12pm.

In July 2020 Social Action Inquiry partners commissioned The Collective to lead on a short-term piece of research to capture the stories and lessons learned from communities coming together to help during the Coronavirus pandemic.

New analysis, undertaken by the Poverty Alliance on behalf of The Robertson Trust, has examined the evidence on the links between poverty, education and work pathways for young people in Scotland and across the UK. It found evidence that the poverty-attainment gap – already identified by the Scottish Government as a key priority – shows signs of increasing and risks being further compounded by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We offer funding to charitable organisations that support people and communities in Scotland who are living with poverty or trauma – this is our overarching focus. Following our first funding announcement of our 2020-30 strategy, we spoke with one of the recipients, Airdrie Foodbank, to find out more about its work and the impact it is working towards.
