Our Social Impact Investment (SII) plan was approved by our Board in March 2023, creating an additional set of tools and resources to help us achieve our mission.
The SII plan enables us to commit up to £20M in investments with a strong social impact which align to our mission and priority themes. Significantly, the plan does not have an expiry date so we can move at the pace that is right, driven by the strongest opportunities we find.
We established a new SII Committee and appointed Tom Bennett (tom.bennett@therobertsontrust.org.uk) as SII expert adviser to the Trust. Working together, we are exploring a mix of asset-backed opportunities and innovative goods and services aligned to our mission, to enable more people to spring the traps of hardship.
