This research was commissioned by The Robertson Trust to highlight what works, what doesn’t work and why in non-clinical maternal mental health interventions that are delivered by the third sector. It focuses specifically on three areas of practice: parenting support, peer support, and counselling/psychological support.

The programme aimed to create a better understanding of what works when using sport to engage young people, particularly those considered ‘hard to reach’. It was also hoped that the programme would provide practical learning for other organisations seeking to deliver this kind of work. This micro-site draws together the key learning from the programme and suggests approaches that clubs and organisations using sport may want to think about if they are seeking to involve young people in their work.
