Two new vacancies at The Robertson Trust

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

Funding Officer – Full time – Glasgow   
Salary £32,400 pa + Excellent Benefits  

The Robertson Trust’s Giving Team is responsible for reviewing applications received through the Trust’s Open Awards programme and for providing ongoing support to our funded organisations.  

The successful candidate will be required to have a strong understanding of the funding landscape in Scotland and of key issues which directly affect the third sector.  They will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present complex information in an agreed, accessible format. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about governance and financial issues which are relevant to charities and have the ability to see where the Trust’s input could add value.  They will be comfortable working to deadlines and happy to contribute to all aspects of the work of the Giving Team.  

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who wants to support the third sector at a particularly challenging time and make a difference to the lives of vulnerable individuals and communities across Scotland.

Knowledge and Learning Officer (Evaluation)– Full time – Glasgow   
Salary £32,400 pa + Excellent Benefits  

The Robertson Trust’s Learning and Communications Team is responsible for the creation, use and sharing of knowledge and learning, both internally and externally. It supports the Trust to deliver on its strategic goals through building an understanding of the world we work in, what we do and how we work. 

As a key member of this team, the Knowledge and Learning Officer will have a particular focus on supporting the evaluative functions of the team including the commissioning and management of external evaluations.   

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of designing, conducting, commissioning and managing evaluations and research. They will be committed to supporting teams and organisations to develop their monitoring, evaluation and learning capacity and have the ability to communicate complex issues and ideas in an accessible and engaging way. They will also have the opportunity to work with a range of partners across our portfolios of work to help embed a learning culture in all that we do.
