Robertson House Stirling gets underway

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

We are pleased to announce that Robertson House Stirling is now under construction. Ogilvie Construction Ltd has been appointed as main contractor for the first phase of the building fabric and repair works, with a programme of works running until April 2018. The fit out phase which will follow is expected to run until December 2018.

The Barracks development comprises five buildings, three of which are being developed by The Robertson Trust in partnership with Stirling Council. Robertson House Stirling will offer a 200 seat conference facilty as well as meeting rooms, exhibition space, shared office space and an on site cafe.

The two remaining buildings, Kintail and Berwick House, will offer high quality, low cost office accomodation to the third sector. There will be 10 office suites of varying sizes on site. Demand has been very high and many of the units have already been pre-let.

The creation of Robertson House Stirling as a purpose built charity hub gives the once derelict buildings a new purpose and will help revitalise the surrounding Forthside area of Stirling. Read more about the development here.

The building will complement the Trust's existing charity hub, Robertson House, in Glasgow. Currently home to 25 Third Sector tenants, Robertson House also offers discounted meeting room rates for charities. Find out more here.
