Director announcement

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

The Robertson Trust has announced that Kenneth Ferguson has stepped down as director of the Trust after 9 years’ service.

During Kenneth’s tenure, the Trust’s annual giving has grown from £14m per annum to over £24m per annum.

Its Scholarship Programme has grown exponentially and now provides support to over 650 young people in further and higher education. Under Kenneth’s leadership the Trust developed Journey to Success to ensure that Scholars can maximise their further and higher education experience in their chosen career.

The Trust has created Charity Hubs in Glasgow and Stirling offering affordable accommodation to 20 charities and a Conference Centre facility for the third sector.

Kenneth’s enthusiasm to support the third sector in Scotland has informed the Trust’s activities over recent years. We are grateful for his leadership of the Trust and his determination to continuously innovate to ensure that the Trust’s objectives are achieved. We wish him well in his future endeavours.

A recruitment process, administered by the Board, will commence shortly.
