Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

Small Award 
For revenue funding up to and including £10,000 per annum.  Capital funding ranges from £500 to £20,000, which includes requests towards community facilities or vehicles as detailed in the "Types of Funding" section above. More information is available on our Small Award guideline here.

Main Award
For revenue funding above £10,000 per annum.  Capital funding of more than £20,000 up to a maximum of £250,000 is awarded under this category. More information is available on our Main Award guidelines here. Our deadline for our December Giving Committee is Friday, 14th September. All deadlines can be viewed here.

Continuation 2-3
Cannot be applied for using our online application form. If eligible, we will email you approximately 3 months prior to the end of the award period with a link to our online Continuation 2 & 3 application form to complete. More information is available on our Continuation guidelines here.

Continuation 4-5 - Cannot be applied for using our online application form. To apply for funding for Continuation 4 & 5 please contact the Giving Team by e-mailing funding@therobertsontrust.org.uk quoting your current grant reference number (e.g. 2017/1234) and we will email you a link to complete our online application form. More information is available on our Continuation guidelines here.

Major Capital

This applies to capital awards in excess of £250,000 for projects that aim to reduce inequality by responding to identified needs and disadvantage.  We welcome applications under this award for innovative approaches and activities that will address inequalities and respond to identified need. This is a two stage process:  If you wish to apply to the Trust for a Major Capital Award, please call a member of the Giving Team to discuss in the first instance.  More information is available on our Major Capital Guidelines here. Our deadline for our December Giving Committee is Friday, 14th September. Did you know?
As part of our bursary scheme, all third year Robertson scholars must complete a two month summer internship. This is fully paid for by The Robertson Trust and in 2017, 40% of scholars spent their internships at third sector organisations with feedback showing 100% satisfaction from both hosts and interns. We’re now looking for employers who may be interested in hosting an intern in summer 2018 – find out more here.
