Youth Work in Sport
Youth Work in Sport (YWiS) was a partnership programme between The Robertson Trust, The Rank Foundation and YMCA George Williams College. It aimed to raise understanding of “what works” when trying to make sporting services and activities more accessible for young people who might not usually engage with them. Through the Initiative, community sports organisations received funding to employ a young person for five years as a Trainee Youth Worker, who also studied for a formal youth work qualification up to degree level.
£741,000 invested by The Robertson Trust. £741,000 also invested by the Rank Foundation (total £1.482 mil)
