How to write a successful tender

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

27 of our current grant holders attended the latest workshop with the Cranfield Trust on Tuesday, looking at how to write a successful tender.

The all-day event was run by Trevor Kitching BSc PhD, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing, who has 30 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain consultancy and training. It looked specifically at rules around tendering, finding tendering opportunities, understanding the stages of the tendering process and writing winning tenders.

The event was part of The Robertson Trust's Funder Plus approach, which uses both internal and external expertise and resources to improve capacity of third sector organisations, enabling them to increase and improve support for those using their services. The Cranfield Trust uses experienced volunteers to provide management support for our grant holders which may be around governance, financial and business planning.
