As part of our Innovation Learning theme, Improving the Wellbeing of Women and Girls, The Robertson Trust is seeking to establish two women's centre in Scotland to demonstrate how a gender specific, community-led, multi-agency approach can support women to achieve positive outcomes at a community, individual and agency level. The first of these centres, Heart and Soul, opened in Cumnock in July 2017 and has been developed with Centrestage Communities. The second, meanwhile, is planned for Johnstone, and is in the development phase with Active Communities.
Our Programme Manager, Fiona Jamieson, has written about the programme in the latest issue of Scottish Justice Matters, which has collected a series of articles around the theme, Women and Justice: Are we making progress? The article can be accessed here and the full issue here.
