Over £2.5m awarded at latest Giving Committee

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

The full award listings from our latest Giving Committee can now be viewed here and printed from here.

A grand total of £2,588,000 was awarded to 74 organisations across Scotland in our three funding strands; Care and Wellbeing, Strengthening Communities and Realising Potential. Among these awards were:

Care and Wellbeing (view all)
towards the salary costs of the manager of the Edinburgh Art Room, which uses trained art therapists to work with children who have serious emotional and behavioural difficulties. View all Edinburgh awards here.

Strengthening Communities (view all)
£45,000 towards the salary costs of the Project Manager at The Well Multi-Cultural Resource Centre. This charity, based within a former shop in Govanhill, Glasgow, provides practical support and advice to members of the local, multicultural community, many of whom are families living in poverty with little or no English. Realising Potential (view all)
£16,000 towards the running costs of Methilhill Community Children's Initiative, which delivers a programme of activities and volunteering opportunities from its community learning garden, aiming to both improve outdoor play opportunities for young people while increasing confidence, resilience and self-esteem.
