We are pleased to announce that our Giving Strategy 2016-19 has now been published and can be downloaded here.
The strategy, which will go live on August 1st, sets out our future priorities when awarding funds through our open grants programme and has been developed in consultation with the Third Sector in Scotland.
The purpose of this document is to:
- describe the principles which underpin the Trust’s new Giving Strategy
- explain the positive changes (outcomes) which we hope our funding will achieve over the next three years
- outline the context and provide a full description of our newly developed Funding Strands including some of the identified needs and where we think our funding can make a difference.
What it for means for applicants
Our application form and guidelines will be revised to reflect the new Giving Strategy and applicants are asked to take a note of the key dates below to ensure they are prepared for the changes.
Applications until July 31st
Our online application forms and guidelines will remain as they currently are. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by July 31st to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy.
Applications after July 31st
On August 1st, the online application forms and guidelines on our website will change to reflect our new strategy. Any relevant data will be transferred to the new application form at this time. The first Board of Trustees meeting for applications under the new strategy will take place in November 2016.
