New event library launched

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

We are pleased to launch an event library containing resources from last month’s Robertson Trust conference, Alternative Funding Models for Public Services in Scotland.

The event was hosted in Glasgow and brought together 50 key decision makers from Local Authorities, Scottish Government, funders, banking and other professional bodies, to look at funding models beyond the traditional capital and grants for revenue expenditure.

As we face a time of financial stringency in Scotland, the intention of the event, which was opened by Derek Mackay MSP (Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Constitution), was to generate further discussion and ultimately act as a catalyst for starting trials of these different funding models. If this is an area of interest to you, we are encouraging all to join the discussion on our related LinkedIn group.

The library contains related presentations, videos and papers. You can also view a full agenda from the day here.
