The event provides an opportunity to learn from a range of partners who have been working to get people more active and to develop communities through physical activity and sport. It will focus on person centred approaches in engaging people and communities, helping them to become more active and, as a result, to improve wellbeing and to thrive. It is hoped that organisations will learn more about how to positively change people and communities through physical activity and sport.
Attendees will also hear about and experience the new Legacy 2014 Physical Activity Fund’s Be ACT(ive) – Active Communities Thrive toolkit and learning resource and find out more about funding opportunities through the new Sporting Equality Fund which will open for applications on the day.
This event is recommended for all organisations seeking to learn and improve practice in their work to increase activity within communities.
