Invitation to Tender: Changing Lives through Sport and Physical Activity

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

The Robertson Trust, Scottish Government, sportscotland and Spirit of 2012 (the operational partners) are seeking to engage relevant organisations to develop and deliver a range of learning and support for professional staff within national and local sports organisations, and for the sports clubs and community sports organisations that they work with. The aim is to facilitate increased knowledge, skills, capacity and resources for these organisations to operate effectively and deliver impactful services in their communities with the aim of bringing about positive change for individuals and communities. This tender is a key element of the Changing Lives Through Sport and Physical Activity Programme (CLTSPA) which is seeking to support organisations to use sport and physical activity as a driver to achieve positive individual and community change.

The tender takes the form of two workstrands:

Workstrand One:

To provide blended learning opportunities for professional staff within national and local organisations who have a role in supporting delivery organisations, as well as for the sports clubs and community organisations that they work with.

We want the delivery organisations themselves to operate effectively, to be sustainable and to deliver impactful services in to their communities.

Workstrand Two:

To provide 1:2:1 development support to 15 sporting organisations in year one with the aim of enabling them to develop their organisation and skills in effectively delivering change within their community.

The closing date for this tender is Monday 20th August, 2018, 1pm.

Partnership for Procurement Workshop - 6th July 2018, Glasgow

Third sector organisations are invited to a workshop delivered by Partnership for Procurement (P4P) on Friday 6th July at Senscot offices in Glasgow to explore the opportunities for partnership working around this tender. P4P will provide information on the steps included within the P4P Collaboration Toolkit, including assessing readiness for collaboration and identifying/assessing compatibility of partners. P4P will then facilitate an open discussion with organisations who wish to form a partnership to tender for the contract.

P4P will facilitate further meetings between partner organisations if required.

Organisations who wish to attend should register using Eventbrite and are required to submit a short Expression of Interest document to P4P which will be circulated to organisations on or after Friday 29th June. The Expression of Interest will ask organisations what role they would like to play in a potential partnership, including details of experience/track record.
