Important update regarding new deadlines for applying for funding

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

2018/19 - Deadlines for Main and Major (revenue and capital) applications

Requests for Main and Major (revenue and capital) awards are considered at four Giving Committee meetings over the course of each year.  Our anticipated closing dates for applications as follows:

Anticipated Closing Dates
(before midday on....)
Giving Committee Meeting Dates
Friday 14 September 2018 Tuesday 4th December 2018
Friday 30th November 2018 Tuesday 12th March 2019
Friday 15th March 2019 Tuesday 11 June 2019
Friday 14th June 2019 Tuesday 10 September 2019
Friday 13th September 2019 Tuesday 3rd December 2019

We make every effort to ensure that all applications received by this date are considered at the next scheduled meeting, but subject to the level of demand for funding this may not be possible. We would therefore encourage applicants to send in their requests as soon as they are ready to increase the likelihood of being considered at your preferred Giving Committee.  If this is likely to cause your organisation or project significant difficulties, please contact a member of the Giving team to discuss.

All applicants are advised to check our website for any updates as we may wish to review these dates during the course of next year.

Requests for all other types of award (small, continuation 2 & 3, continuation 4 & 5) will continue to be assessed as part of a rolling programme with no specific deadlines. We aim to ensure that applicants are advised of the Trust’s decision within approximately 8 weeks of receipt of your request.  As detailed in our Guidelines, this is subject to receipt of all the required information.
