Homes for Good and Freedom Bakery win at Social Enterprise Awards

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

Robertson House tenants, Homes for Good CIC and Freedom Bakery, were both winners at the recent Social Enterprise Awards Scotland.

Hosted at the Scottish Parliament, the annual event celebrates Scotland’s vibrant social enterprise scene by making awards across six categories.

Homes for Good CIC was named Social Enterprise of the Year (Scotland & UK). The organisation is Scotland's first social enterprise letting agency and specialises in letting homes to people on low incomes.

Freedom Bakery, meanwhile, was named One to Watch, for its work at HMP Low Moss, where it trains inmates in artisan baking with a view to finding an industry related career post-release.

By winning the awards, both organisations are automatically shortlisted in the Social Enterprise UK Awards.

Freedom Bakery and Homes for Good are two of the 25 third sector organisations based at Robertson House. Click here to find out more about the building or check availability of our meeting rooms and event spaces.
