Biggest ever Annual Gathering held in Glasgow

Please note that The Robertson Trust has published its new Giving Strategy. This sets out the priorities we will have when awarding funds through our open grants programme. The existing application form and guidelines can still be used until July 31st. In line with our existing procedures, we will aim to assess and present all applications received by this date to our September Board meeting. In the event that we are unable to do so, your application may be held until our November meeting. In such cases a member of staff will contact you and provide any assistance required to realign your application with the new Giving Strategy. Find out all you need to know here.

We were delighted to welcome over 400 Robertson scholars to our biggest ever Annual Gathering in Glasgow this week.

The event is one of the most eagerly-anticipated dates on the Journey to Success calendar and sees the majority of our scholars from across the country get together for a day of inspirational talks, workshops and networking opportunities.

Scholars were also joined by many representatives from organisations we are working in partnership with to offer exciting career pathways and internships, as well as past scholars and Robertson Trust staff, including Scholarship chair, Mark Laing.

This year's key note speech was delivered by current Robertson scholar, Rosie Moore, who spoke about her work with the Independent Care Review. Fellow scholars, Leigh McLevy, Hayley Hutchison, Nicola Loen and Shabana Stanikzai also took to stage to talk about some of their recent experiences with the Journey to Success programme, while Aaron Hawthorne did an excellent job of presenting proceedings, along with our Head of Scholarship, Gordon Hunt.

The Robertson Trust would like to thank all those who attended, particularly those who presented. If you would like to see more pictures from the day, follow our new Journey to Success Instagram account @robtrustscholars
